As you can see, it is Stamped USMC.
The Blade is 13.25" and OAL is 19.75"

I found this in a box of random tools and "stuff" over 30 years ago while cleaning out a shed at my grandfathers farm.

I had a friend look into it years ago. He mentioned that is most likely "fake", as in not an actual USMC knife. I forget what the reasoning was.

That being said, is this anything other than a cool looking knife?

Thanks!

It isn't. Looks to be Philippine and was probably made, and marked, there for a Marine.

I appreciate the help.

Based on your information, I am thinking that it probably doesn't have any significant monetary value,
so it would be okay to tinker with it as I wish and not go running to the Antique Road Show. LOL

My grandfather was not in the Marines, so it doesn't have any sentimental value.

Thanks!
