I have a problem with a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 mag. I've had it for about a year and every session I fire it the frame screws come loose. Is there a good compound to put on the threads to keep them secure? I don't want anything that will make it impossible to take apart later on.

Loctite Red will keep them from backing out, but probably will not come apart when needed. Try some Loctite Blue, it should work.

Blue loctite should hold it. Ruger used a white threadlocker on the rear frame screws on my .357 Blackhawk that I was able to break with some force.

A good sized auto parts store (usually one of the chains) will have a whole rack of thread locker stuff. Just read the labels ,you don't want permanent, just anti vibration. Use just a tiny bit,you don't want the extra messing up the inside of the gun. Clean the screw and hole with alcohol to cut any oil on the threads first.
