Need Help with Springfield SAR8 Parts

I have post '89 ban Springfield SAR8 with the steel Greek receiver. This HK91 copy is just like the 91, made on HK licensed machinery. It takes all HK91 parts. Since it's an import, it has the thumbhole stock on it. I'm looking for a source for American parts, so I can convert it to American and put on a pistol grip. I don't know of any American companies that are making 91 copies. Any help is appreciated.

I've never done any business with THESE guys but you might give the a call. They say that they stock a complete line of U.S. made G-3 parts.

You should be able to get the thumb hole stock off there pretty easily.

I think ARS, but otherwise many other places, have lists of what the ATF considers to be parts of, say, a G3. You then have to have so many (what is it? 4?) US-made parts. Oh, Tapco sells compliance kits for the CETMEs, so that might be another place to look for the list.

Usually they are only short 1, so trading out something minor can get you to loose the thumbhole.
