Does anyone know what a c. sharp patent 1859 4 shot pepper box is worth or anything else about it.

:) With out a picture and more information, no. Sharps and Co. / Sharps and Hankins and Co. made at least 4 different models with a variety of calibers and you also gave no information on condition. It sounds as if you may have a Sharps Model 1A, but again without pictures that's just a guess. I can tell you Sharps was in business from 1854 until 1874. Sorry about that. Based on the information given I don't know what information can be given?

It is indeed the Model 1A (Flayderman's designation, not the factory's), the first variation. The frame would originally have been silver plated (silver "washed") and the barrels blued. There were over 60,000 made c. 1859 but serial numbers started over after 60000.

Value in that condition runs around $500 or so if the grips are original, uncracked or chipped, and the gun is fully functional. The entire series, with several variations, was made up to 1874, still in the black powder era; firing with modern ammunition is not recommended.
