Need info on gun control issue...

Short and sweet, I'm writing a short paper (5 pgs) over the gun control debate. I want to start with a brief history of the issue in the US and then try to touch on the arguments from both sides. I'm looking for good cite-able sources on the subject and thought you guys could help me out. Thanks!

Check out the NRA web site, USAcarry.com, opencarry.org, and other firearms sites. They have many links to information that should help you.

Also check out information on the competitive shooting organizations we have in the country: USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge, SASS, bullseye, silhouette shooting, etc...

Honestly, if I were going to debate the issues of gun control, I might promote all the instances where it has worked out to the benefit of the rulers. Hitler, Pol Pot, Castro, Stalin, Jong-il, take your pick. They've effectively crushed their unarmed opposition. I don't have the motivation to talk the antis into seeing the truth, I'll just illustrate how ruthless their ideology is.

Check the Heller Case

Some of the very best summaries of the gun control issue can be found in the briefs filed for the Heller case. If I recall correctly, the Buckeye Firearms brief was superb.

Make sure you don't cite NRA info as fact. No matter how right or wrong the information is, any decent writing teacher would take off points for that.
