need info on my shotgun

I have just recieved a new shot gun. It is a luigi franchi Spa brescia 12 guage over under. It's nicley engraved with just a couple of dings in the butt stock. Can anyone tell me anything about it, to include it's worth? Greatly appriciate any info you can share with me.

Franchi is a name brand now owned by Beretta. I suggest inquiring there.

Chances are it's a fine shotgun, but I don't know the value.

We'd need a lot more info, and preferably pictures, to take even a GUESS; the Blue Book of Gun Values should be able to get you fairly close to a value, but you'd still need to nail down the model (Is it a 1000? Is it an Alcione? Is it an Aristocrat? Is it a Falconet?) All of these things go into deciding what it's worth. Franchi is like the "Remington of Italy", but they go all-out on some models, so I'm sure it's a decent shotgun and worth hanging onto in any case.

THese shotguns are good quality guns.

Never achieved the reputation some makers have, but have been around for a long time with out earning a bad rep!
