I need information about the trigger pin on an FEG P9RK 9mm. While cleaning the gun I hit the trigger pin which caused a small spring and peg to come out of the trigger area. I believe that this is used to hold preasure on the trigger pin, But I cannot find an area to reinsert the peg and spring.

I would appreciate any information any of you could give me about this.

I am also looking for an online manual for both Field and detail strip.

Thank you.

Nevermind. I thought the pin was inserted from the inside because it came through the inside of the gun when it was released. I realized you had to remove the pin, then insert the spring and peg (spring first), and then work the pin back through until it locked again.

Anyone know where I can pick up a few exta mags for an FEG P9RK and maybe a good tactical holster?

I don't have the same FEG as you do...I have the PJK-9HP. But doesn't yours use Hi-Power Mags? If so, I recommend the 17-round KRD mags from South Africa. Used to get them from www.cdnninvestments.com, but they may be gone now...

I checked that site out, but they didn't have anything I could use. I am not sure if mine uses Hi-Power mags or not. I will have to check into it and see.

Now why would someone move this topic to Auto-Loaders? I realized I asked about Magazines, but the topic was asking about the trigger pin of an FEG P9RK. It seems as though that would make it just general discussion.

:scrutiny:

New to the board. Guess I will have to get used to the way things work around here.

The FEG P9R is the derivative of the earlier FEG P9 pistol. Both guns are made in Hungary by the FEGARMY Arms factory (formerly known as Fegyver es Gazkeszuelekgyara NV). The P9R uses the modified P9 frame and action, but the classic FN GP-35 Single Action trigger system is replaced with Smith&Wesson-style Double Action system. The P9R-series pistols are now available in two basic forms, the full-size P9R and short-barreled P9RK. Over the time, FEG also produced a lightweight, aluminum-framed version of the P9R, called the P9RA, which apparently is no longer made. There is also a .45 caliber derivative of P9RK, which also have a single-stack magazine that holds only 8 rounds. The .45ACP version is designated as FEG ACK (export models of ACK were sometimes marked as GKK-45). In Europe the FEG P9R was also known as the Mauser 90DA, as it was imported and distributed through the famous German Mauser organization.

The P9R is a short recoil operated, locked breech pistol. The barrel is operated using a Browning cam system, and is locked to slide by three locking lugs on the top of the barrel, which fit into mated recesses on the inside of the slide, just ahead of the ejection port. Frame and slide are made from carbon steel and usually have blued finish. The Double Action trigger system with external hammer has a slide-mounted safety lever, which also works as a decocker when safety is engaged. The P9RK pistol differs from basic P9R by having a shorter barrel and slide, as well as finger grooves on the grip. The .45 caliber ACK pistol is slightly thinner, as it has a single stack magazine for rounds, instead of the double stack magazine for 14 rounds in P9R pistols. On all P9R series pistols the front sight is permanently fixed to the slide, while rear sight is dovetailed.

It uses SW magazines.

I have a FEG P9RK and S&W 59 series mags will not work as the mag catch slot is cut in a slightly different location. If I remember right, I think the slide stop notch on the follower also sits higher in the FEG mags so even if you could modify the mag catch slot on S&W 59 series mags to work, the slide would probably fail to lock back.

FEG also made a few P9RZ "sub-compacts" of which I've only ever seen one, I would have bought if I thought I'd ever find mags for it (I'll collect unusual guns I may not really want ot shoot much, but not if I cant get extra mags). www.fourfourmag.com had some 10 rounders that were made by ProMag I believe, I tried one and it seemed to work OK but I don't shoot the gun much since its DA/SA in operation.

I found some ProMag P9RK mags at natchezss. I couldn't find any listing for a SW mag for the P9RK.

P9R magazines

SARCO had a sale on 10-rd P9R magazines. They have two slots on the right side, I guess for mag retention.

Anyway, I bought 10 of them. If they don't carry them anymore, you can buy mine for $70 plus shipping.

I haven't been able to find a pistol locally to use them in. Yeah, yeah, any rationalization to buy a new gun. "But, I've got to buy the gun, I have all these magazines for it"!
