Have you looked in the reloading for sale forum on this board? There are deals to be had if you check it regularly and are patient. If you need it now check what is offered here and compare it with gunbroker.com and between the two you will get a fair deal. Also how much are you looking for? To get the best price be sure to buy enough to fill the flat rate box.

How about 6.5x55? I checked all those sites listed above, no dice.

I once had an oppertunity to get 6.5x55 once fired for $8/100. Being dumb, niave, and slow witted, I ordered 100. It turned out to all be Norma & Lapua. I was going to get some more, but they had a $100 min order, so I was waiting to get an order together. Of course, by the time I had an order, the brass was all gone!!! You snooze, you loose!

How reliable is Seminole Brass? I placed an order on 4/13 and haven't heard back from them? Haven't responded to emails. After two weeks I should either get the brass or at least an email saying they are backordered.

Anyone ever actually ordered from them before?

seminole brass

I ordered 3500 .38 special last week and it arrived on monday. Spoke with her on the phone prior to placing the order to see how many she could put into a flat rate box.

It was a mix of nickel and brass which was not specified on the site but that is fine for my purposes. Happy with the transaction.

I placed an order by phone on the 28th of april for 2000 45 acp brass. She took the order immediately and on the 29th I had a paypal invoice from them that I promptly paid. Now it is June 11 and I have not received anything, no brass, no email and no phone calls. I have left numerous emails and I try phoning several times a day. Still nothing. Tomorrow, I will file a "non-receipt" of goods claim with paypal. Seems like they fell off the planet.

Does anyone have additional contact information other than that on the website?

Joe,

Sorry to hear you are having bad luck. I placed an order with Seminole for 2000 9mm a few weeks back. I got a paypal invoice within a day and my brass arrived in a week or so. I know this doesn't help your situation but they have come through for some of us. Based on my experience I would order from them again.

Keep us posted on the turn out. Maybe there was some mix up.

They eventually replied to my email on my 45 brass and shipped it. Took a few weeks. Terrible looking 45 brass. It was cheap but from now on I'll buy once fired from the forums here. I won't use them again.

My brass didn't look great either but tumbling with with the Lyman additive cleaned them right up. There did seem to be some off brand brass mixed in as well. Considering they are about half the price of a lot of sites and I'm just using it for range pinking I still think I got a great deal.

I am talking about seminole brass. Maybe there is still hope. I don't know. They have $111 of mine that I want to get back and place an order elsewhere. Even if I only get 1000 for the same price.

Paypal has two levels of ways to resolve conflicts. First, you file a dispute. Seminole will be allowed to respond. As it turns out, they have not responded to the dispute.

Second, you escalate to a claim. Which, I was planning to initiate tomorrow. Maybe I should give it a few more days. What do you guys think?

Escalate it now. Either they will have to ship you the brass or you will get your money back to use elsewhere. Get the ball rolling.

I ordered some 5.56 from http://www.precisionbrass.net/ based on some positive reviews on the ar15.com reloading forum. Pretty good prices, $60 per 1k plus shipping. They also sell .45 for reasonable prices. I don't know if the .45 brass has the primer pocket crimp that needs to be removed.

I have purchased a ton of O/F brass from EDS Brass and reloading. It's hit or miss on availability sometimes but it is some of the best brass I have purchased from any source. It looks like new stuff but has the spent primer so I know it is not. Never had one piece unusable of several thousand rounds.

When I get a new gun in a cal that I don't have brass for a simple search of THR's Buy, Sell and Trade: Reloading Components and Gear section or a WTB post in the same section gives excellent results. I usually have my brass within a week and usually a lot cheaper then the internet brass dealers.
