I got a new(to me) Yugo SKS on friday, and cleaned off all of the cosmoline. Well, I guess I didn't get enough of it.
When I was firing it yesterday, I had numerous light primer strikes, so I decided to have a close look at it today, and the firing pin has become stuck in the bolt.
Does it just push out toward the rear, using a punch for example? Once I get it out, and get it all cleaned up, should I oil it?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I lay the bolt on a rag over a partially open vice so the retaining pin can be backed out where the vice is open. I use a punch and hammer. You have to hit it pretty hard but don't worry about hurting anything. A few solid hits will get it out.

I clean it and make sure theres no crap or primer sealant from wolf which sometimes gets in there every couple hundred rounds. Each time you shoot you should make sure the pin moves freely before chambering a round.

What had happened one time when cleaning was I dropped the bolt from standing height right on the back of the firing pin and it had jammed forward. I ended up using really fine sandpaper to smooth tiny imperfections in the firing pin hole in front if the bolt, and on the forward part of the pin. If you oil it, do it lightly so it doesn't get gunked up.
