Need some Enfield information

Hello all. Hoping some of my fellow surplus rifle addicts can help me out. I'm looking for some quality, detailed information on the Enfield series of rifles. Looking for info on the different manufacturers, manufacturers markings, and general rarity of the various models. Something like 7.62x54r.net but for Enfields. Any good book recommendations would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Many thanks guys, this is the kind of information I'm looking for. Currently the two Enfields I have been thinking about adding to my milsurp collection are the Ishapore 2A1 and a Savage no.4 Mk1. What would be a fair price for these rifles in VGC.? Keeping in mind I like shooters, not necessarily "collectibles". Thanks again.

Going rate these days for both are in the $225 to $250 range for VG shooters.

Check AIM and SOG for a Savage #4 Mk 1*. I just got one from Aim and it's in great shape.
Probably the prettiest stock I own. $169

Kentucky, I was wondering if you had picked up that Savage at AIM. It looks really sweet. How's the bore? I might have to head back up there and abuse my wallet a little more!

Great shape after a good cleaning. And it came free with that fine piece of shoestri.., I mean sling. Also a nice greasy rag stuffed in the buttstock.
