I am going to buy one spotting scope for my .22 rifle to shoot 50 yards or 100 yards target. Because right I only use a 10x binoculars and I was not able to clearly see the bullet‘s hole in the target. I like to find a cheap one but which still can meet my basic requirement that the scope can help me to clearly see the holes in 100 yards far target. I just want to know if the 15-40x40 or x50 scope is OK to me? any suggestion?

Thanks!

Off the Wall, but works!

I'll give you a rather OTH (off-the-wall) idea that has proven to work well. A friend & avid shooter owns a Pawn Shop. I was in one day & happen to glance-up at a rack of old-tech (VHS, VHSc, Beta, etc.) video cameras he had taken-in for pawn over the years. He asked if I could think of anything to DO with 'em 'cause they were burning shelf space & near worthless. I thought for a minute and asked to see one. It had auto focus & 30X variable digital zoom. Ahh Haa! We took it shooting the next weekend. Setting on it's own tripod with the 4" viewing screen flipped open, it became the coolest spotting scope we'd ever used. You didn't have to look IN it, you just look over AT it.
So go haunt a few local pawn shops. Look for the highest digital zoom they have. You can buy them for pocket change. The batteries will last through most sessions 'cause your not running the motors (filming) but just viewing. If the 4" built-in viewfinder isn't big enough for you, spend $20 more & pick-up a little TV as a monitor! Have fun.

Ghost Tracker,

I tested my video cameras yesterday evening. I think it can't help me unless
I can find a pretty high digital zoom cameras in a pawn. but the price maybe
I can buy a cheap spotting scope.

Thanks!
