Need suggestions for ladyfriend's 9mm

Update...

We hit some gun shops and held everything on the list. She fell in love with the S&W 910S, a stainless double stack TDA 3rd gen with 15-round capacity. She liked it better than the 3913LS or the single stack 908.

Runners up were the Ruger P95, CZ-75 and Steyr M9-A1, but she liked the 910S best and when a woman makes up her mind, well, that's it.

If you really cared you wouldn't let her make up her mind until after she tried a Sig. J/K The 239 and 229 fit both the criteria* and tend to fit smaller hands well.


*It'd be a bonus if this 9mm is easy to strip / clean / reassemble*

*She seems to prefer the idea of a TDA over DAO or manual safety/SA*

I told her the Sig would be easier to field strip too.

Plus the Sig was another $200+

I was also going to recommend trying the Sig 239. A Southern gal of my acquaintance really loves hers.

Why?

I understand BHP is a slim-feeling and soft-shooting 9mm, but it won't work for *her*. She doesn't want to carry C&L in her glovebox since she hasn't trained with SA pistols.

If she happens to like the BHP except for the SA part, then she should also consider the beretta 92fs

Why do people ignore the SFS Hi-Powers? Why? This is the situation the SFS was intended for. As Vitamin G said of the standard version "Until they actually try one." The only Hi-Power I ever fired was an FN with the SFS installed. I shot it along with a Kimber Custom Target II. I really liked the Kimber. I loved the Hi-Power and shot it better too. I now own a standard Browning Hi-Power. Would I buy one with SFS if I wanted another one? Without hesitation. If you like the BHP, but not carrying C&L, try the SFS. You might be very pleasantly surprised.
