I remember seeing a video when researching the UC9 Pro (which is now a carry pistol that I highly respect) where 2 guys switch off firing some 1,500 or so rounds through a Thunder 9 HC over the course of a few minutes with only some water poured over it ever few hundred rounds.
I equate them to the Honda of the gun world. If they are not especially abused, they'll serve a man very well. They are robust pistols and I'd expect a Bersa to achieve a respectable round count.
