Any thoughts on the Bersa Thunder 9 Ultra Compact Pro? I'm thinking about getting one. Thanks.

It's just a good performer.

I've had people call it a Poor Man's RAMI,,,
But in actuality I like it a lot better than my friends RAMI.

The Grip fits my hand perfectly,,,
Overall it's a very nice gun.

Nice gun

Had mine a few years now. Very easy take-down. Accurate enough. Probably the least expensive hammer fired all metal gun around. I have the two tone and it is very nice looking. Comfortable grip. Parts are available from Eagle imports.

Cons:
Slide doesn't lock on empty consistently for me. Levers are large and ambi. I know it's me because if I shoot weak handed it doesn't happen.
Slide and safety levers can rust from sweating but comes right off with an oiled rag.
Safety locks the slide which I don't like.
Thick and heavy for carry, which is why I carry a Kahr now.
Has a rail, but other than that no mods are available.
Holsters are not readily available from major makers.

Don't make the mistake of buying a Sig P239 holster for it like I did. If it is molded it won't fit worth a damn. I have a Fobus and it is good for the money but just doesn't fit.

Mine has been very reliable.

I have the two tone as well and I think it looks good. The all-black looks a bit "clunky" to me but the two tone greatly improves it. (As Billy Crystal's character Fernando says "It's not how you feel, it's how you look. And you look Marvelous!")

It fits my hand well and is very nice to shoot.

It isn't small but 13 rounds in a reliable, less expensive, good looking package is a good deal.

The rail is a bit short so not every accessory will fit. Choose your light/laser carefully.

Mine's a keeper. Good luck to you if you decide to pick one up.

I have the .40 UC, and it just works with everything I feed it. Presume the 9 is the same. It's certainly not the most accurate gun I have, but it is self-defense accurate. I think the Bersas provide good value in a reliable gun.
