Last night the little hoodlums struck again. By now, most of the mailboxes in the 'hood are either dented or replaced. My neighbor calls the cops (like they are gonna do anything) and they are in his yard talking to him as I drive up. I go join the conversation and put in my two bits. Officer Stadanko goes to the perps house and confronts him. I dont know what kind of line he laid on the kid, but he got him to confess everything! I cant believe it! What a moron. The only way he could have gotten busted is if he confessed. If he denied everything it would have been a whole different story. So now the police are forwarding the case to the prossecutors orfice. Thats a whole different hurdle to jump. I wont be suprised if they get off with a slap on the wrist.:banghead: Hopefully I can get a judgement against someone for the cost of a mail box and slashed tires.

Time to go mail box shopping.

A trip thru the legal system is quite unpleasant. Let's hope that the parents don't coddle the little punk.

Don't expect justice out of the legal system.

Two years ago I went to meet a client on a Sunday afternoon to get paid for some work I had done. As we pull up I notice two guys on horseback and a trailer backed up to my clients gate. I drive down and low and behold the two hoodlums are cattle thieves and they are working on cutting a hole in the fence to escape. I asked the owner what he wanted me to do, and offered up I had a rifle and if he wanted to borrow it he was welcome to. Well the two bandits clipped the fence but I recongnize one of them as a neighborhood brat about 18yrs old. So in time they show-up to collect their trailer with a story concocted about they had been sent to get these cattle and what where we doing there. Things got nasty at this point and they wanted their trailer before the cops arrived. The color drained from the little rustlers faces when the owner told them the only thing that kept em both from being shot dead, was he told me not to. Well in time the law arrived, they where handcuffed and whisked away to jail. It made the news and all the newspapers, forcasting a huge trial of the first cattle rustlers in many years, cept the DA didn't file charges, chalked it up to a juvenile prank. Funny thing was a string of cattle thefts stopped on that day...

Justice system, yea right.

On a previous post somebody was telling where federal charges of mail tampering were charged
and convicted against some box bashers.

lol on the schedule 160 pipe, if your gonna do that mount a large spring at the base so when the inevitable old lady hits it(yes the only hardened mail bunker on the block) it dont kill her. many places require things along the street to be break away in some form or another.

4' of 4" pipe into concrete, large spring(coil over off a car) then the rest of the pipe to the proper height, then make out of or cover a mailbox with 1/4" plate minimum(i suggest 3/8").

if someone hits it with a bat, the bat will bounce off.


now how to apply it to your car tires...what about instead of a layer of steel belting...a layer of chainmaielle...
