Nemesis for IWB?

I just bought a SW shield 45 and I really like it so far. I was looking for pocket holster today and I picked up the desantis nemesis. Interestingly enough I found that the shield was little big feeling in my pocket then I tried shoving in my waistband. Because of the sticky nature of the nemesis it stays very well in place and is very comfy to boot. It can also be positioned at flexible depths and angles. At least it seems awesome for a casual carry but I tried running with it today to and it didn’t budge in my jeans. Anybody else use the nemesis like this?

I have one for my G27 and it works well as intended. Not impossible as a IWB, but probably inferior in stickiness to things like the Remora. On the down side there is nothing to hold it to the belt, and there is no reinforcement, so there is no one handed reholstering. It beats no holster, a la Magnum p.i.\Mexican style carry, but still probably enough negatives that I wouldn't want to do it if there is a better option available.

I just puled mine out and tried it, and I would advise against it.

I have never used them for anything besides a pocket holster and in that role they excel, theyre probably the best non custom made one out there. If it works for you then go for it, I prefer a snap or clip for IWB carry though

One of the features I consider vital for a waist band holster for a semi auto to possess is that it stay open when the gun isn't in it. That way you're not tempted to use the muzzle or your fingers with the muzzle pointed at them to help you holster the weapon. Something to think about.

Nemesis holsters always in pocket, never IWB. Later on I tried all manner of the Remora types IWB but the truth is (my truth anyway) is that if it isn't attached to the belt or at least the waistband of pants, it's not secure. Even if you run and it seems secure. A clip on to the belt is much better, and I think all the current tacky type holster makers include clip versions.

Yeah you are all probably right. Even if it feels good the lack of attachment makes me uneasy. Maybe just kicking around the house it’s fine though. I’m sure the grippyness will wear off too once it’s not so new anymore. I also realized that my sof tuck for my G26 fits the shield perfectly so I’ll probably use it for instead of the nemesis. I carry my Kimber raptor micro 9 now and it’s hard to beat but the first 1000 rounds had a couple jams and I don’t trust it a 100 percent yet.

I pocket carry an LCP in a Nemesis and it works great in that situation. My Shield is way too big for my pockets and yours would be even a bit bigger in 45. I personally want loops or clips with solid belt retention as well as a holster or clip that holds the gun securely for IWB carry, so I wouldn't be comfortable using a Nemesis or Sticky just stuck in my waistband. I use a Vanguard 2 by RCS for my Shield and it's a great option for a very minimalist approach.
