Went to the gun show and purchased a Beretta Neos.
I've been reading up on it, and liked the features and feel of the Neos, plus the price was nice, how could I say no? As I don't yet have My CCW permit, I get to pick it up this thursday. Can't wait to get out to the range and put it through it's paces.

My main reason for the purchase was pure economics. Shooting was getting a little expensive, so in comes the way of the rimfire. Hope this pistol is a good egg and not a problem child.
When I've grown accustomed to the iron sights, I'd like to get a red dot sight for it. Can anyone suggest a good, affordable red dot? I've been looking at some of the tasco models, beyond that I have'nt really looked at any others. I'm also open to getting a scope in addition to the R.D. sight.
So, what say You?

I found the trigger pretty grim with lots of gritty take up and a hard break. I would be more apt to go with the Ruger MKII or a Buck. I was not impressed with the Beretta.

Watch the rear windage adjustment screw. Mine took a trip to the unknown while I was using my Tasco red dot sight. Though Beretta did send me a new one with no problem. Very fun!

I have 3000+ rounds through mine and been essentially flawless after about 200 rounds. Excellent accuracy, cheap to buy and shoot, a snap to take down for cleaning, and the top rail for an optic is great. I have a cheap Simmons on mine...one of the $30 models.

I have a deluxe neos and I am loving it. Please excuse my terrible terrible camera

Neos trigger: Go over to www.rimfirecentral.com and search for NEOS trigger job. Somewhere in there is instructions on a do-it-yourself project and it makes a world of difference.
I may have a copy of the instructions stashed somewhere on my computer at home.

Thanks everyone for the replies.
Sisco, thanks for the heads up on the D.I.Y. trigger job at rimfirecentral.
Have to take a look at that.

The trigger job is sort of difficult if you bring sanding/filing into it. What I did was just cut 1/3 off the sear spring and stretch it back out a little, so the sear engages the firing pin notch without issue. I just got back from shooting it yesterday and it worked great. It's super easy for such a drastic trigger pull reduction.

Replacement springs are made by BIC.
Go get yourself a disposable lighter, take out the spring, cut it to the same length as the factory one and there ya go.
