Never know what you’re going to find

Yes it is a S&W model 10. But I also had two others covered up.
On the right is a flare gun and a S&W Victory Model that was reworked by Parker Hale in 38 Spl.

Here are the bayonets that were hiding the Smith. The M16 bayonet, I carried in Desert Storm. It came home with me and lives the easy life now.

And here’s what was covering up the other guns.
M1 Garand ammo belt, got it from my father in law.

And two AR mag carriers

I did locate the Mauser bolt I bought a year ago for my 7mm vz24 restoration project.
And wouldn’t you know, there was an extra bolt body in the box.

I do like to have extra part on hand. Never hurts to have some Turkish Mauser barrels in a box.

Puckered bottom indicates woven Mills production, the narrower connecting belt is also pre-1936.
So, it's probably a 1903 cartridge belt. The inner snap was added when the connecting belt was increased to the cartridge pocket size. So, that very beautiful item you have there is probably not a Garand belt (although en bloc clips would easily fit), but, instead, is a quite rare bit of pre-war kit. Value is in the $120-140 range on eBay.

Thanks for that info. Might have to take a pic of it with my 1903 .

Always liked the WWI Mills 1911 magazine pouches. Very well made and rather distinctive looking.

Yeah, and they were kept in circulation for forever. I have a (very grainy) scan of a photo from my alumni peridocial showing a couple of alum in action in Korea and one is wearing a Mills puckered pocket two fastener. It also appears to be dyed to match the rest of the OD M-45 webgear, too.
Of course, naturally, I can't find that image on this computer (which means it's on one of the sidelined machines I don't have networked together--sigh)

So, I'm partially jealous. Mind, I don't have a pistol belt of a suitable date :) which eases the discomfit some.

Gunny

Well, it’s coming along. I didn’t get a lot done this weekend, but I was tired.
I do have to say, it is looking better.

Agreed...starting to look like there's light at the end of the tunnel.

I found the extra mage for my AR-9.

And that Spesco revolver project.

I’m still looking for the parts for this one, now where did I put that bag.

Well, didn’t get much done, but I did add a few things. A friend called today and told me that he had a few things for me if I wanted them. So I went to his house, shot the bull for a while, and came home with this.
Two pounds of powder, 44 cal. LFP & 38 cal LRN bullets, a bunch of 38 Spl. brass and a holster for a Glock 19.

I got the bullets boxed up along with some others.

After a long day of classes, I came home and started cleaning up the small piles of things on the floor.
Here are a few of the things I came across.
An AK sling and cleaning kit.

A bag of 1903 Turkish Mauser parts. They are for a rifle I started restoring a few years ago, but had to put on the back burner, then forgot about.

And a few more AR parts. Hokie, did I send you a gas tube. I found a few extra. :)

I also found some more range brass. 308 L.C., 30-06, 30-30, 303 British & 223.

Weaux! an LSU holster at that! I've still got lots of powder in metal and cardboard cans too.

Not I. It causes me to break the tenth commandment

Me too, but no so much for coveting Gunny's Gun Room; it's more like for nearly all of the guns and gear he keeps finding in there! I mean there's just so many different and interesting things it's hard not to want some of that "stuff" like Gunny has!
