Never too many? What should I do?!

I usually advocate not selling guns but I broke down and sold my 12 year old motorcycle and now I know that once you've "sold it" in your mind it's already gone - might as well sell it. I have sold a .454 casull and am happy with what I have.

Ok, so I know the conventional wisdom is to never sell any of your guns.... Here's the deal: I have a bedside 45 XD with light, and I alternate carry a 9mm XD Compact, 9mm Sig P239, and S&W 642. Those are my personal defense weapons and I have several safe queens and other "shooters".

I'm thinking I should cut back and liquidate a couple, since I don't regularly shoot them all and the ammo shortage has me concerned about having 3 calibers. Yet I'm struggling with the decision on so many levels. I don't have a quality 22, and think perhaps I should sell one of my other guns to fund a new purchase....

Suggestions?
Relative to your ammo considerations, the more calibers you have the more likely you will be able to find ammo for one of them!

BTW, decent 22LR ammo has become one of the least available calibers.
