New 1911 forum

There's a new 1911 forum that is trying to be more laid back and comfortable than the others. I'm hoping I don't get in trouble for this post since it's not in competition with this one. It's:

The forum is steadily growing and has great members as does this site. Those of you that are 1911 lovers give it a look.

Is this the place all the people who can't follow rules go after they get banned from both M1911.org and the M1911 Forum?

What a ridiculous question. Most people there belong to the other forums as well.

It does seem strange that you start a thread about a competitive forum like this, and then periodically bump it to recruit new members over there.

Frankly it looks dead compared to this forum so I guess it needs all the help it can get.

It's a 1911 forum so does not does not compete with this one, this forum is not 1911 specific. It was started Novermber 16th so just how many people do you expect to be there in 2 months compared to how many years for this one? It must have took a lot of concentration on your part to notice a 2 month old forum has much less members than one that has been around for many years.

It seems strange that a thread like this would bother you. Do you consider yourself some kind of self appointed thread monitor? If this was a 1911 forum I would not have posted it and you may be suprised to find that there are members there that are also members here. It's not meant to aggrivate those that have no intention of going there. However suprising that it would aggrivate anyone.

Ah well, it seems there are sheltered beings that are offended by anything and everything.

I like the idea of a more-relaxed 1911-specific forum. I get tired of getting infracted for saying "crap" and "dangit" because they're substitutes for uglier words. If I wanted someone to scold me for saying grade-school-level "profanity" I'd check myself into the nearest grade school.

You won't be in trouble for crap on this one, I know several on one board that got into trouble over the workd crap, myself included. No auto infraction system.
