Hey guys 'n gals...How did I do on this......

Mossberg 100-ATR in .30-06 (Recently found out Mossy makes center-fire rifles) Synth stock, 4+1, 24" barrel, no iron sights, with scope base plates.

Simmons 3-9x50 variable scope. Lens covers removed for this pic

Leupold Hi-Rise rings for the 50MM scope. Weaver Hi-Rise not high enough

Uncle Mikes QD swivels, swivel studs pre-installed.

Allen brand Camo hunter sling w/ammo loops.

Ammo pictured not included, but it is PMP brand, $9.00/20

With a small discount for some handling scratches in the barrel, out the door was $309

Haven't had a chance to fire a round yet, I just purchased and assembled Sunday afternoon.

I have been wanting a turn-bolt .30-06 for a while, and I just happened to see the Mossy in the Wally-World display case. Sticker price was $244 & change, they took off $25 since the barrel had some minor dings in the finish. I mentioned to the Sporting Goods guy that putting some of that stick-on 'Moleskin' stuff on the spots where the wire frame contacts the barrels would reduce that damage.

That's a darn sight better than the Remington 710. I've been thinking about getting one in .270 just for the heck of it. (To go with my Mossberg 810). It's traditionally made with a real reciever and the like. They copied Savage with the barrel locking nut, but heck, if that drops the price by $100 I'm more than happy with it. Your combo looks good and the price is real good. Because of the barrel nut, you may find it very consistent, assuming the barrel itself is decent.
