they look good when compared to Federal factory loads.

W231 for now, (will pick up either 2400 or W296 next time I get down to KTP)

I have three load sources that advise 6.2 to 6.9 gr of W231 and Sierra lists loads up to 7.7 gr. W231!!

If I stick in the mid 6 range, will I need a magnum primer?

Any body out there have an accurate load for a 6" barrel using W231?

No magnum primer needed. Dont worry about magnum primers unless you are using 296. Even 2400 takes a standard primer.

6.6 Grs. W231. Not hot, but nice.

I also use 6.6 grains. As Walkalong said, not hot but nice. Does pretty well out of my gun, but dont have any figures for you.
