Well I just picked up a NIB S&W 3913TSW this weekend and put 200 rounds through it today. I am extremely pleased with the workmanship, and how it peformed at the range. No malfunctions, very accurate and it fits great in my hand. I may have to look into the CS9 also if it's anything like the 3913TSW.

One question for 3913 owners...has anyone added night sights to this model? I see that Trijicon makes then, I was just wondering how hard it is to install them on a 3913?

Contact Trijicon...have them install the Tritium elements in your Novaks sights.....youll get the great sights you already have..just with little green lights in them. Also check out Trij's website..they have great deals once in a while and smiths charge a very small fee for the installation.
Shoot well

I've seen some "gunsmiths" really screw up this job. Even if S&W charges an arm and a leg for this job, it may be worth it. I had a S&W LE armorer put some PT night sights on one of my 3rd gen autos not too long ago. He managed to marr the finish on both the sights and the slide. Another guy totally destroyed the Novaks on my dad's 4013 (now mine) when he was hired to install some MMC adjustables. S&W will do it right.

Break it down into what you are getting for the money. Novak night sights are not cheap. The are about the most expensive I've seen. Then figure out how much you're paying for the install. Also, I don't think you need to send Smith the whole gun, just the slide (insure it and send it USPS - I don't think there are any restrictions on this, but check with S&W when you call about the work).

I have a 3913TSW (no, it doesn't have NS - got turned off to NS & Smiths after the above experiences) pre-rail and I love it. One of my best shooters. Only Smith I like better is my 6906.

IIRC, Trijicon sells the same Novak night sights as Smith& Wesson does, but for $130 instead of $168. Call them for more information.

BTW, the 3913's are truly classic guns. I picked up a used plain-jane 3913 last year for a good price. I've only shot it once, but I really like it. I've got big plans for it when my budget allows...
