The S&W 929 has a 9mm sized cylinder which is 1⅜" long. There is about ⅜" of space in the chamber from bullet tip to the forcing cone/end of the chamber.
The Korth cylinder does look shorter, maybe 11/5" ?
Like a classic (and classy) looking revolver, but with a shorter window. NOT this! There's no reason an appropriately sized 9mm revolver would have to be ugly.
What did you think a revolver with an appropriate cylinder length for the 9mm was going to look like???
I'm just glad I'm don't have to sell (or design) guns for a living. All this knee-jerk closed-mindedness to every new thing that comes along drives me nuts as it is.
There are two different factors in play here. Sure, any revolver sized to fit 9mm is going to have a short cylinder that's going to look a bit unusual. I have no problem with that. I can even live with the lug.
What I do find ugly is the ridiculous rail tacked onto the side. Not only is it spectacularly ugly, it represents a triumph of marketing over function that I find repellant.
