Collecting Replica Confederate Percussion Revolvers

There has been a number of replica Confederate percussion revolvers manufactured that these alone can make a very nice collection. Following is a list of these revolvers that I have found in my research.

Brass Frame - (Original Brass Frame Revolvers were all .36cal.)
1. Griswold & Gunnison Prototype - Navy Arms - There were only 6 of these made by
Gregaroli & Uberti. Very, very rare.

Today I received a pair of Navy Arms Gregaroli & Uberti Griswold and Gunnisons - seller called them Augusta Revolvers - One has no markings except serial number, the G&U brand and Navy Army on the barrel and frame. No proof marks or date code. The second has SN, G&U, Nay Arms, and normal proof marks on the frame and has a 1960 (XVI) date code. Both are unfired and still have some hard packing grease clinging to parts. Both do not have safety pins on the cylinders and no hammer safety notch. Both have plain cylinders. Pictures attached.

I was asked on another forum for a CSA revolver photo shoot; so, i decided to oblige. For those of you interested, it's below; but, before anyone says anything about it. Yes, I know there are a couple revolvers used by the CSA that have reproductions that are not represented here. I have yet to add the Spiller and Burr and LeMat to my collection. They're coming, I just havent gotten them yet. The third revolver that most everyone will say is missing is the Schneider and Glassick. One of these days I might get one; but, it wasn't really a CSA revolver. There were at most 50 of them made and the real figure is probably a lot lower. In all of the books I have on CSA small arem, the Schneider and Glassick is nothing more than a footnote. From what I've read, there are only 3 authenticated examples in existence and one of them had an iron fram and round barrel instead of a brass frame and octagonal barrel.

Anyhow, here's the picture:

Nice pistols Fingers. What model of LeMat are you going to get? Read my review on the LeMat bullet mold that dixie sells. I have read several of your other posts + with your knolwedge you should be able to make the LeMat a great shooter. I hope to make a Spiller&Burr my next addition.

Outstanding! Would you mind telling me about the holster and belt? Where'd it come from? Thanks!

Holster is from Cabelas and the belt is from El Paso Saddlery

Probably another Cavalry model. I had one a few years ago and sold it to finance a 2nd Generation Colt BP purchase.

I can also give you the fix for the barrel latch plus a modification to the rammer plunger to make seating conicials easier. All per original LeMats.
