Not enough specifics on barrel and bolt. Plus the gas block having picatinny on top is a no go for me unless the block is pinned. Rather see a good low pro gas block and a longer rail to cover it.

Seems like a mis-match to me, a budget upper that shoots expensive ammo. Better to buy a 223 or 7.62x39mm upper in that price range and just accept that it (almost assuredly) is going to deliver plinking level performance with any ammo you're going to feed it, cheap or expensive.

Okay, so they made 6.5 Grendal ammo more affordable, at the loss of its accuracy and terminal performance, which was the whole point of the 6.5 Grendal. My point still remains, this upper has no upside if it can't deliver accuracy with precision made ammo. While I haven't tested it, all arrows point towards no with an entry level barrel and no free-float. The 6.5 Grendal exists in a niche and is pointless outside of it.

I have read tests with the wolf ammo and it was getting 1 1/2 - 2 inches at 100 yds good enough for me being those that purchase it will not have bench rest competition on their minds. it is also a far superior combat round then the 5.56 with more then enough accuracy needed for that. as far as a floating hand guard I have a colt hbar no floating hand guards and a chrome barrel and it is as accurate as a bolt gun. I have seen the older comp bushmasters AR HB before floated barrels were the rage shoot phenomenal groups. even though it is hard to believe for some great accuracy was achieved without one ounce triggers hand lapped barrels and floating hand guards

Plus the gas block having picatinny on top is a no go for me unless the block is pinned.
It doesn't need to be pinned if one of the gas block setscrew holes is countersunk. Its also much easier to replace a non-pinned gas block with one you prefer (and pin it if you must).

I just noticed that AIM Surplus is now carrying an upper with Wolf Performance, the Russian ammo makers, brand.
Just for clariufication, Wolf doesn't make ammo, they import ammo produced by other manufacturers.

i.e.: Wolf Gold .223/5.56x45mm is made in Taiwan
