Just curious if there is a barrel manufacture who would also remove the old barrel and install the new one. The gun in question is a 2018 model 70. I know I can go to gunsmiths but the closest smith to me is over 70 miles away.

Still alot faster than getting most barrel makers to do the work id expect, least if the smith does decent work reasonably quickly.

ErShaw will do a full rebarrel, cost is in the 350-400 dollar range now I believe, wait times are measured in months.
Of the others I dont remember off hand, but I think at least McGowan will do it also, as will Shilen.

Thanks for the responses and leads. I can squeeze another deer and bear season out of the gun. Still shoots fine for boiler room shoots. I'm thinking of early spring so I wrote the information down for future reference.

Pac Nor will pull that pipe off and screw a new one on. They will also true your action if you so desire.

I've got a rifle at PacNor now for a 3 groove "super match" in .260Rem. I sent my M7 in MAR, been a little over 10 months, last week it moved on to be Cerakoted. Hopefully it will be back in another week or so. Then off to be bedded.

Douglas put a 270 win barrel on my 03-A3 back in 1973.
Very pleased with work. That was, let’s see, almost 50 years ago! WOW! I’m gittin long in the tooth!
You are only as old as you feel! At work I feel like a 80 y/o. At the range whooping my sons but I feel like I’m in my 20s. Then my wife steps on the line and makes me feel 100+. For someone who didn’t grow up shooting. My lady can shoot! Took 15 mins of instruction and she out shoot me!
