Meh, the next day after I ordered “my” 1886 Winchester in 45-90 from Cabella’’s, I received an e-mail saying my order was being processed. The next day, Cabella’s e-mailed to say “my” rifle would ship in 10-11 days to my choice of FFL, Bass Pro Shop. The following day, they cancelled my order! I checked their 12000 count used gun library and found exactly one in Minnesota for “only” $100 more than new. ‘Course I had already signed up for their credit card and club membership, but I expect that credit card will live a long time in the sock drawer unused. You see, Cabella’s cancel notice didn’t offer a back order option. If you happen across a low scored review of an online experience ordering Cabella’s products, it’s probably mine. The good news is I’m back to haunting pawn shops, gun stores, and the like. I call them mini vacations. In hoquium- Aberdeen today. Don’t get me started on ammo. Thanks for encouragement. I’ll get it done eventually or require my grandson to gitterdone before he can inherit my gun collection.
