Took me almost 6 weeks of waiting for my Kahr CM9 to arrive at the gun shop where I ordered it. It was worth the wait. I was a YouTube junkie in the mean time watching everything I could find on either the PM9 or the CM9.

I love the size & weight of this pistol, and it rides nicely in a High Noon IWB holster, at the 4 o'clock. Car's bucket seats and seat belt buckle don't even know the gun is there. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Took me an extra day before I could go shoot. But that didn't stop me from dry-fires and rapid cycling. I followed Kahr Forum's recommended break-in and lube steps while I envisioned some happy bang-bang time.

Once at the backyard range of a buddy's house, I set up for initial shooting at 21 feet (7 yds). Nothing fancy, 9-inch paper plates with a drawn-in 2 inch circle in the middle (using a can of BreakFree CLP and a Sharpie to trace around it). I was after a good function test and simply wanted to get some rounds downrange.

With such small dimensions on this handgun, I could hold this thing any way I wanted but eventually settled-in with a nice two-hand hold, thumbs together and pointing downrange. I had two mags loaded with Federal Champion (115 grain FMJ RN) and plenty more of this ammo sitting off to the side. BTW- I separately online-ordered an extra magazine (model MK-620) because I knew the CM9 only came with one mag.

Like an awesome omen, my very first shot went inside that two-inch circle. The rest of that first mag did not. Of the 80 (or so) shots yesterday, only a few went unaccounted for, off the paper plates. We eventually had the range pushed out to about 40 feet. The CM9 never gave me a failure and it didn't care which magazine I was feeding it. (I hate it sometimes when an autoloader can be mag-sensitive).

I had no fatigue, and I can't even put the word "snappy" into any sentence. This was a real nice experience. I like the butter-smooth long trigger and didn't even think about it when doing a couple of back to back double-taps.

I can't think of a single thing to say negatively about this CM9 and I look forward to putting this into service as my summertime CCW after some more rounds go through it.

Great to hear, G19G36.

What kind of JHP ammo are you thinking of carrying with it? Also, where are you thinking of carrying IWB?

Thanks for the report. My PM9 has been 100% reliable too, and is amazingly accurate and soft shooting. These are great little CCW guns.

Catnphx - I have a nice new box of Speer's Gold Dot (124 grain GDHP) waiting to celebrate the end of a generous break-in for my CCW ammo of choice. My choice for IWB is 4 o'clock, slight forward cant. My holster allows for T-shirt tuck between belt clip and main body of holster.

Another flavor of ammo I'll consider is Hornady's Critical Defense. I like this in their .45acp offering, so I'll probably try some of their 9mm too.

Awesome !

I havent seen a single negative report on this pistol.......

Its on my short list to buy for pocket carry
