Picked up my Colt 6720 from my LGS. In spite of what their website says Clyde Armory is not the exclusive dealer of these. I haven't weighed it yet but the gun easily come in under 6 lbs. The light weight makes it extremely manueverable. I have bought and built other ARs but this is my first Colt and i am quite please with the quality, fit and finish. There is minimal play between upper and lower receiver as well. I was surprised to read in the manual though that some guns may come with an Accuwedge installed but mine did not and was not needed. The Matech BUIS is a nice addition as well. Another pleasant surprise discovered upon opening the box was the inclusion of two magpul 20 round mags. The biggest dissapointment was that the serial number just barely missed being #1000. I haven't shot it yet but will probably do so this weekend.
I intend to install a midlength Troy TRX modular free float rail, ergo grip, low profile gas block, YHM flip up front sight, Aimpoint M2 with Aimpoint quick disconnect mount, magpul foregrip, surefire G2 light and either a Vltor or Magpul adjustable stock. I am still trying to decide if i will install a flash hider to accept my YH Phantom can.
