Greetings all!

Just did the unthinkable and traded my Ruger P95 for a CZ-75. Why? Beats me, but I got a great trade-in price for the Ruger.

Anway, now that I am a CZ-75 owner, I want to get a few non-neutered magazines for them. Aftermarket is okay, as I replace the followers and springs on them, anyways. So, where can I get them?

Oh, and for you fellow CZ owners, give me a testimony!

You bought a great pistol!

I became a CZ 75BD owner just under 2 months ago, and have put over 1000 rounds through it. It is a joy to shoot, very accurate, and perfectly reliable.

Mine came with a factory 15-rnd mag. There are hi-cap mags sold on gunbroker.com, but I would be wary to ensure that whatever you buy on the net is a factory original made of rhte CZ 75. New ones are sold for about $45 plus shipping. You can also find a wealth of information on the CZ forum. Enjoy!

Springs and mags are great, but nothing compares to CZ grips by Hakan:

Then, consider the .22 Kadet conversion kit for cheap, fun practice on the same frame. Then, buy ammo.

I find that my CZ cycles best with some good grease on the rails and around the barrel shroud... less 'gritty' cycling (try it by hand before and after lubing).

I also polished the barrel shroud on my CZ to good effect... Here's my thread on The Firing Line that includes before and after pictures.

After market CZ mags

Cheaper than Dirt has/had very good CZ hi caps for less than $20 which work very well. They went fast but may be resupllied by now.

I also have a BD model and am knocked out by it's accuracy and reliability. For the money, it may be the best deal on a handgun going...

You will grow to love your CZ.

I have two. One is the 75BD and the other is the 86 Combat. Have put several hundred rounds through each. Not a single problem to day. Both are accurate. I purchased some hicaps from the CZ-USA website. Don't know if they have any more. Here's some pics for the heck of it. Good shooting.:)

I got the CZ-75B. It came with two 10 round magazines, which is okay, but I want 15 round mags. I used USA mags in my Ruger to good effect after changing the followers and springs, so after-market mags are just fine.

I already tried http://cdnninvestments.com but they are currently out of mags. I haven't looked at Cheaper Than Dirt; I will do that momentarily.

I have to admint that fit and finish is much more appealing than the Ruger; the CZ-75 is sure prettier! It also fits my hand better.

U are better off buying CZ factory mags if you plan on using
your Cee-Zed for defensive duties.

You can't put a price on Reliability, really.

CZ-USA still has a 'limited' supply of 15 shot mags.

W.A.

Ya know sumpthin? You're right! I do have a better gun!

Thing is, the Ruger is good, and I have stated as such in the past at TFL.

I got the P95 3 years ago for $325. When I went to the gun shop ealier this afternoon I fully intended to leave, still in possession of the Ruger. I saw the CZ-75 and asked the clerk how much he'd give me in trade against the $400 they were asking. Believe it or not, I only had to cough up $125! They gave me $275 trade in for the Ruger (either that, or they came down off the price of the CZ without telling me so). How could I pass that up? I didn't.

Anyway, I am very satisfied with it so far. Next weekend, on my oldest son's birthday (we're taking him to a gun range with a paint ball field), I will put my new friend through it's paces. I'm sure my expectations will be exceptionally met!

Hello. Sure hope you enjoy your CZ; I know I've enjoyed mine. I didn't get the bargains out there today, but back when I got my Pre-B CZs, it was kind of "iffy" whether or not they'd continue being imported. I don't regret paying more as the guns have served well.

I was able to get my first one via a dealer who somehow was able to give a then-decent price on one. I handled the thing, took it apart, tried the trigger, etc and bought it and a few extra magazines.

Within a day or so, I had it at the range. The test target that came with the pistol was pretty poor so I was kind of concerned. I don't know what the deal was with the old gun's test targets being so lousy, but the darn thing "shot." It was also completely reliable with various handloaded JHP rounds.

Since then, more CZs have been added to the collection; all are Pre-B CZ75s and one CZ83 in .380ACP.

In my opinion, these are underrated pistols or used to be. While I've not shot that many owned by others, I have shot a few and w/o exception all grouped really well.

Eventually, I sent one gun's slide off to Kurt Wickman for Novak fixed sights. I'd filed just a small amt off the front sight to bring it to exact zero such that POA = POI and advised Mr. Wickman to simply make the new sights' height ratio the same. He did so and the gun below was dead-bang "on" upon its return.

Though the bbl is hardchromed, it's a factory bbl and there's been no accuracy work done on the gun. After literally thousands of rounds, the bbl-to-slide fit remains tight.

Should you desire, CZ sells a .22 conversion kit that fits the CZ75/85 pistols called the Kadet. The things work fine and they actually shoot darned well. They consist of a slide/bbl assembly and a magazine that fit on your existing frame with but minor fitting at the most and often times with none. You get to practice with the same exact trigger pull as is on your centerfire CZ.

Here's a pair of Pre-B CZ75s; the Novak-sighted one's on the left while the one on the right sports the small fixed sights, which ARE hard to use at any kind of speed (for me) compared to the more visible fixed sights on the B guns. It's been blk parkerized.

I've made it no secret that the Browning Hi Power remains my favorite all around pistol and for sure, 9mm pistol, but were I not able to use a single-action only semiauto, the CZ75 would be my choice.

The CZ75 9mm bbl shows a generous feed ramp and plenty of support for the case in the event you shoot warmish loads...as I do. The gun is built very stoutly. I've recently been hearing of some slide stop breakage, but I'm still using the original part, but I do use a Wolff 18 lb recoil spring and am trying out the new Buffer Technology buff made for this pistol.

Shoot and enjoy your pistol; you've got a good one.

Best.

Hello. In my opinion, I would go with the factory magazines if at all possible. They've simply worked better in my experience.

Best.

There are a few members in good standing of CZforum that sell full capacity mags for the 75.

As for testimony, I've been very pleased with my '96 military model, except for extraction failures. It's a known problem on the Turkish contract guns, I just haven't got around to getting the replacement extractor and spring.

Some people (like me) have trouble reaching the controls, but as a target gun, it's scary accurate and a very soft shooter.

I have installed a Buffer Tech. shok buff on my CZ with good results, really made a difference in the felt recoil. Much more so than the one I put in my Springfield(.45). I let my son shoot the CZ last week and he fell in love with it, liked it better than the 1911 or Sig 239. I can't blame him, it's my favorite IDPA gun.
It really points naturally for me and I've done well with it in low light conditions as a result.
Wish I had one in every configuation they offer.

i had a 97b before and i know this sounds crazy but for me but the gun just didn't fit my hands. it's really accurate but the grip was too big and the DA trigger was too long. anyways i kinda sold it back and later on got a CZ 40 now that gun i really liked it's just like shooting my para p-14. later on i wanna a 75b too. i have to admitt CZ's are addictive.

While they aren't perfect and they can put out the occasional lemon (ask Hansolo here about his) I think they are probably the best deals in the gun world out there. Generally they are very reliable, they are durable, the accuracy is incredible, fit and finish is good and general quality is great. I loved my CZ 75B so much I got a CZ 40B and would still like a CZ 100 and a CZ 97.

My CZ 75B has shot several thousand rounds by now (I stopped counting so I don't know how many for sure- but it is well over 2K and probably more like 3-4K). I can count the number of misfires on one hand. It is very accurate for me, only my 6" 586 is more accurate and then not by much. It is my favorite auto.

My CZ 40 is also a very good gun. Even more reliable than the 75 though accuracy is only average.

My best friend bought a CZ 85 Combat after trying my CZ (until then he was set on a Kimber). He loves his. His has been reliable, though he's had a little more trouble than I have had. His is incredibly accurate. He has since bought a Kimber Custom Target in stainless and he still likes the 85 Combat better (and he could have bought an 85Combat and a 75B for the price of the Kimber).

My first auto was a Ruger P89 and while it may have been a little more reliable than the CZ I far prefer my CZ. I would take a CZ over a Ruger any day.

I bought two mags from empirearms.com - Dennis Kroh is an honest net dealer and the mags are as advertised. I don't even have a CZ-75 yet, but will soon. Bought the mags before they run dry.

I liked my CZ-75B so much that I had to get another. I chose a satin nickel finished CZ 85 Combat that I picked up used.

They both are great shooters: accurate, comfortable, and I like the triggers. They are very consistent; not as smooth as some others, but I can always tell after taking up the creep when just a little more pressure will release the hammer.

Here's a link to a thread that has a picture of my CZ85 Combat with a pair of Hakan's custom made grips. She's a beauty in real life, the pictures don't do her justice.
