New CZ-75B (not 56k friendly)

I have taken the CZ plunge!

200 rounds of WWB through it, with no malfunctions. I consider myself to be a pretty poor shot, but the last pistol that was this accurate in my hands, was a West German SIG P226. As most people will agree, my experience of the CZ-75 so far is that it's a tack driver out of the box. It's a bit heavy, but that's one of the things that makes it so smooth to shoot I suppose. One more happy owner of what is perhaps the best pistol for the money... although I think the Stoeger Cougar might be the runner up in terms of outright value.

I plan on replacing the recoil spring with a Wolff 14- or 16-lb spring, and getting some Pachmayr grips (just my personal preference to Hogue ones).

Seriously, congrats on a quality purchase. The only problem I have with CZs is the more I own the more I want.

And I just got too many doggone pistols.

There's just something about making one big hole when the mag is empty that makes you want to do it more and more and more...

Great guns, until you're shot a cz you can't possible know how good they really are.

Best buy on the market right now is the CZ82. It may be 9X18, but you get ambidextrous safety, ambidextrous mag release, DA/SA, three-dot sights, poly rifling and 12-round mags for a deuce.

Love my CZs. All shoot to POA, 100 percent reliable and point so naturally.

My 75B (.40) is my EDC my wifes is the 82 & she loves it. I really think the 82 is the most accurate pistol we own , if there's another contender it would be the 75

BTW, what is the date of manufacture on your 75b? There's a little stamp just above the extractor which should say something like "07" which stands for the year. I'm trying to keep track of any manufacturing changes on the CZ 75b lineup. Thanks.

i swear, every time i see a thread like this it makes me want to spend cash that i shouldn't to get one of these cz's. very nice stratus, my experience with the 75B has been nothing short of outstanding!

Yeah eerw... I have already been privy to the feeling. It's the ultimate irony in the history of all my gun purchases. Here's what I mean:

At first blush, the CZ-75B is about the best value out there. I mean, you get home with this thing, cleaning out the factory lube to the tune of "Happiness is a Warm Gun". Then you take it to the range. You get back and clean it again. It's about that time that you realize that at some point, you NEED to - you are GOING to - drop a significantly larger amount of cash on an SP-01 custom or somesuch. So it's not really as cheap as it appears to be... just like any budding addiction. ^_^

Seriously though, thanks for the compliments and the encouragement! It adds to the phenomenon that I've dubbed "CZ fuzzies".

I can never seem to muster up the will to remove all dust from the gun before taking pics, though, and I am lazy about lighting. Probably because I used to have a better camera and now, no matter how hard I try I won't be perfectly happy with the pics I take. Oh well -_-

congrats, feel the same way about my new 75 compact, fit, feel, finish, perfect, got the half checkered grips and a real comfotable holster from liberty sports
after 500 rounds my trigger has started to smooth out and it wont be long before i have a couple thousand through it - it is so much fun to shoot and yes, there will be another soon
