Haven't had a chance to shoot this new 97 yet. Hopefully tomorrow. Found the grip circumference just a tab wide, so I slowly sanded the checkering off in an effort to reduce the width. Much to my surprise, this beautiful wood grain was hidden due to the lacquer finish and aforementioned checkering. The action needs smoothing, but overall this is a very well built piece of machinery. I added a couple strips of skateboard tape the front grip strap as well.

Dude you've got to let me know how she handles! CZ 97 is next on my list to add to my CZ collect and I want to shoot one so bad I can smell the gunpowder burning from the shells has they fly from the ejection point. LOL!!! Poetry, sweet poetry!!!
