Hello all...
I have tried several pistols recently, including the G19, G26, Sig 2022, Sig p229, Kahr cw40, XD-9, Springfield 1911 a1, Rock Island 1911, and a CZ75 B.

I am no expert but just wish to relay my findings to you awesome people(the people in this forum have always been very helpful to me).

Prior to the CZ P-01, my two fave guns were easily the G19(awesome gun, and will get another someday). And the CZ 75 B(comfortable as all heck, and ultra reliable, just a little too heavy for me).

I have not fired the P-01 yet, but i expect it to be flawless just like the 75 B. But from initial inspection i have found my perfect semi auto handgun! I unfortunately have OCD for perfection :(

Reasons are as follows:
1. Absolutely the most comfortable handgun i have EVER picked up.
2. Finish and workmanship puts most $800.00 handguns to shame.
3. Action is butter smooth.
4. Low bore axis, follow up shots should be excellent just like the G19.
5. I am not going to bash other manufacturers and brands but when i pick up a handgun the first thing i do is safety check, physical inspection, then rack the slide.(If it feels like the slide is going to rattle off the frame i usually set it right back down) I know the slide to frame fit shouldn't affect reliability or accuracy, I don't plan on going to the desert, or dragging my gun around in the dirt, so a little tighter tolerances here are OK with me.
6. NATO Stock Number-passed all those tests they threw at it!
7. Wanted a combat handgun with a de-cocker
8. It is so darn pretty.

Again these are just MY observations, most of you guys know CZ very well and they are very well liked and respected. But for those of you looking for a quality 9mm and aren't familiar with CZ, you would be well served to check one of these out. If you do though...bring some cash, you just might need it.

After I get to the range i will post results, I have no reason to believe it won't be as accurate and reliable as my cz75b...

Thanks for your time.

Congrats! I bought the SP-01 like a week and a half ago. I'll probably buy the P-01 too. :what:

What is the finish on these ? Buds web ad just says "black". I know a couple guys that have CZ75's ( forget exactly which variant) that have this cool green finish, kinda like a coat of teflon. In the pic in the Buds ad, it looked kinda similar ( well, except black.)

Polycoat is basically a plasticized paint, flexible but tough. Also pretty thick as finishes go.

By far my P01 is the best handgun I've owned or held/tried. It's not quite as amazing as the OP made it out to be but still really something.

Chris, I may have gotten just a little carried away, but now the problem begins! Now I wanna go out and get my cz-82 even more now! They say you can never have just one CZ

And I have a lot of rigs to chose from BTW
These things are off the chart accurate, it is right behind my SIG 210-6 at 50 yards

My brother has 3 CZ pistols, one being the P-01. Right after I shot his P-01. I bought the bigger brother of the P-01,the P-06 in .40 cal, excellent guns! Lots of comfort & customizable options. http://czcustom.com/

Good gun! Keep an eye onyour extractor as they have had problems with them on the early models.

Mine is earlier, I heard of the extractor problem tho never had any. I put a Wolffe extractor spring under mine for good ju ju . My gun really likes the Winchester 147 Ranger +P that it is stoked with BTW.

I have a PCR, and 75B plus the Kadet Kit .22 conversion. All are fantastic. I do want a P-01, and a SP-01, or an all steel Compact model.

The thing I like about the P01 is the robust yet light weight frame with the light rail. Also like the reduce LOP for the trigger . If I want an all steel gun then I would rather have a Hi-power , but alas no light rail.
