New Dumb idea! "Battle worn Finish"

That, or shaving sucks . . .

Agree. I was so glad the stubble thing started years ago. Back around '02 I joined the "fad" as it was so much easier to hit my face with a trimmer than cut my face with a razor. The last few years I set the trimmer to much longer than stubble . . . even better for me. :D

Anyway, regarding the recent trend in "artistically" applied "worn" finishes, this has been going on for nearly a decade in the graphics arts world. Look at all the graphics in products, television, movies and notice how the wording or symbols are "dirty" or missing portions as if in disrepair.

I think the same thing is going on with firearms in some quarters. Graphic art minded design has filtered into it. Whether by posers or non-posers.

Saw this video from TactiCool Roberator (how bout that name, lol).

While I don't own any painted or even customized guns by any means I think it is more about just personalizing a weapon to what you like. It seems extreme is in.

One thing I noticed is that most of the people customizing/painting their guns are also doing the same to themselves.
