new england firearms 7mm-08

I saw a 7mm-08 new england rifle for a good price. It would be for my daughter 11years old. mostly target shooting and deer hunting in pennsylvania. I like the idea of single shot for the first year or two, to help her try and make the first shot count.. Also for sfety reasons until she gets used to handling the rifle. She already shoots alot with a 22. Iwas wandering if the rifle shoots ok out to 100 yards for target shooting?

I knew a guy with an NEF in .243, that he put a cheap 4X scope on. With a minor trigger polishing, it shot minute of angle off a sandbag (1" at 100 yards), at 100 yards, with factory hunting loads.

Considering he spent $90 on the rifle, $50 on the scope and did the triggerjob himself (he's a gunsmith/gunshop owner), not bad. He uses it as his coyote eliminator.
