this is the small version of this model. it is a shade over 8" long and made from 5160 spring steel. the little handle is african buffalo horn with hidden pins. they were super shiny and polished when i got them, i had to "unpolish" them for the look i was after. this was a requested custom order and i think it came out well.

I like 5160.

I do wonder whether that choil might be more useful if a little rounder.

I too like it but lose the choil all together. The idea is to keep your fingers back from the blade and it weakens the blade and ruins the nice lines IMHO.

well, this one was made to the customers' specs. and that little cut-out ain't gonna weaken quarter inch steel very much at all. if he breaks this one, he is purposely trying to.
