New Forum Game: 2 Handguns only

If I gotta play the European game, I might as well just pick 7.65 Browning and keep my Taurus TCP732 and Beretta 81BB. Or sell the TCP to get a Beretta Tomcat* to go with the Cheetah and have an all Beretta "Cat" pairing.

I could do 9x19 and use my CZ75 PCR (with my Beretta CX4 as the long gun option), which means I would want a 9x19 pocket pistol of some sort. Maybe find a Rohrbaugh R9* since I do like my Remington RM380.

If I get to play in America, a logical choice for me might be .357 Magnum. If so, I'd like a S&W 340* to go with my Ruger GP100 and Marlin 1894 CSBL (the long gun option).

*Makes me want to add these to my collection. Thanks a ton, @tomrkba. :p

The choices just keep gettin' better and better. o_O

We could all move to Afghanistan, we just all need to move to the same place in Afghanistan (preferably somewhere in the middle of nowhere). There are several folks here I wouldn't mind as next-door neighbors.

Non-expanding bullets... Can we use those funky Phillips screwdriver bit looking bullets? I don't remember what they call them...

I’m smitten with my new Rhino, but I think I would want a 3” instead of the snub. That’s a nice practical carry gun with enough oomph to serve as a hunting arm as well. I’m really tempted to go with a 22 for the second, but I just can’t pick one, so I’m going to say that I will keep my contender. I wonder what I would do with all the money from selling the others...

Hmm, I like .45 acp for fmj, but we're in Europe... gonna stick with 9mm.

CZ 75 (pictured in my avatar),... 2nd gun is interesting. Sig P226, or Beretta 92FS? Because it always comes down to those 3...

Side option- S&W 5906 and Daewoo DP-51. The Smith ain't going to break, the Daewoo can take S&W mags (and I've torn it down already, so I know how to do it). Decisions, decisions.

CZ 75 and Sig P226, final answer

As i live in western Europe, I do not see the need to limit myself to only 2 handguns

I do not know the exact laws and rules in Romania , but i do know there are other countries where you can have more than 2 weapons

I live in Belgium and basically we do not have a maximum amount that we can own

We do have stricter rules for storing when numbers go up.

Theoretically : even owning a ridiculos amount like 300 guns is certainly possible here

I think if I would have to chose a country in eastern europe i would go with the czech republic

Well I have thought about it and and had it narrowed it down to the CZ P01, CZ P07, and the HK VP9. I'm going to go with my CZ P01. The grip design greatly resembles my Hi-Power (which is a good thing), is slightly smaller than the other two (a bit easier to carry concealed), and I just plain like everything about it!

Here's my hypothetical that really isn't so hypothetical.

You have nothing better to do on a Sunday morning so you answer a ridiculous hypothetical question that's NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN.

I want a Westinghouse M26 Phased Plasma Rifle in the 40 watt range and a Blas-tec industries DL-44 Heavy Blaster (Google it).

Of what I currently have, my Browning 1911-380 and my Kimber Micro 380. This is the reason I purchased my Colt 380 Government Model new so many years ago, I wanted to keep the manual of arms as close to the M1911, that I was carrying at work, as possible.

If I were to go to 9mm, I keep thinking of getting a P30sk to go along with my P30. That would also make a good pair.

Title of the thread does have the word "Game" in it.

Play backgammon, or poker, or football, or play "pick two 2 handguns using the same cartridge in a country you probably don't live in".

Not moving to Romania; just moved recently and have enough disruption to deal with as it is!

Two handguns only, same cartridge. Got it!

One is easy...Browning Hi-Power. My go-to gun for the last 35 years.

It's the second gun in 9mm. that has me ruminating. I have a CZ P01, CZ P07, Colt Commander, SIG P229, Ruger SR9c, Kahr CM9, and my latest, an HK VP9. Have to get back to you'all on this one as I'm going to have to think about this one for awhile...

Since people can carry, then I think the best answer is another High Power!

That is a specific scenario. Is it accurate?
Does Romania allow concealed carry, limited to FMJ and just two guns?
ETA: post above me indicates it may be.
Missing is whether there is a worthless 10 round mag limit.

No mag limit: Glock 21SF and Ed Brown Special Forces
Mag limit: Ed Brown Special Forces and Dan Wesson Valor

No mag limit. I went to the range there and loaded up 15 round mags in a HK P30.

Gun ownership has been severely restricted for almost a century. Rates are something like .06%; most people don't have the money to buy a gun, much less shoot it.

Rates at the gun range look like this:

$15 gets you the gun, a coach and 10 rounds. It's approximately $1.25 per round of 9mm FMJ. Conversion rate is about 4 RON per dollar. Granted, this is gun range pricing so actual pricing could be less for the average buyer. I'll see if I can get into a gun store to check pricing next time I'm there.

The last time I went, I blew about $200 to shoot 200 rounds out of a HK P30. Volume discount :)

...First pic: Gun with stag grips looks like a keeper!...

Three of those revolvers are wearing smooth stag stocks, one kf the 22-4s, the reworked Model 28-2, and the Model 625 Mountain Gun. The second Model 22-4 is wearing ivory and the 1917 is wearing walnut.

...Second pic: Bottom right appears to have a 5" barrel and the least amount of wear. I'd take that...

The bottom right revolver is a Commercial variation of the Model 1917. The only revolver in that photo that is not a variant of the 1917 is the one with the re-enforced ejector lug, the Model 25-2. It is also the only revolver that does not have a 5 1/2” tapered barrel. The Model 25-2,has a 6 1/2” bull barrel.

Quite a dark question, but I'll play as well. By default I'd always pick a black powder but in this case that's not going to be definable. So here are my two picks:

S&W model 25 , with 4. Inch barrel
Glock 30s

Not my personal pick but if I had to bug out to a country where this is my restriction, then yeah .45 is what I'd pick.

Yes, it is. It is based upon discussions with range operators (you have to shoot with someone, likely so you don't "take possession") and researching the law on gunpolicy.org

Interesting.

$1.25 per round of FMJ 9mm?
