Aoudad numbers are growing in west and southwest Texas. I've seen them in the grasslands north of Marfa, and several bunches down in my desert mountains.

I haven't killed one, yet, but folks who have say that they're good eating. Feral; no restrictions on time of day or for any season. :)

Elk numbers are growing, as well, and they're feral, also. However, ranchers get some seriously big $$$ to let you hunt.

I live on the AL and TN state line almost dead center, armadillos are becoming more common as well as coyote but bobcats are starting to get scarce. The ones I have seen are just tiny. Now you might go 6 miles east of me and it could be the opposite story.

Here in Ohio-
Whitetail deer and wild turkey numbers since 1978 (when I first started hunting) have increased greatly across the entire state.
Ruffed Grouse and Bobwhite Quail are in the toilet.
Black Bear and Bobcat are becoming more common in eastern and southern Ohio.
Coyotes are everywhere, correspondingly cottontails, woodchucks and box turtles are much scarcer. Unfortunately raccoons have followed the coyote trend.
Condominium Geese are here in good numbers also.

I was skiing at night a few years ago, looked to my right and saw a massive elk. Scared the crap out of me. So apparently we have those now (thanks TN). Maybe they will get their numbers up and I can take a public land hunt closer to home. Other than that, we have a ton of Coyotes (starting to see them in Charlotte now) and pigs are now problematic in SC right near the boarder. Hopefully the South Carolinians fight back like crazy and stop them before they get into my hunting area (Cleveland county).
almost forgot... another thing that scared the crap out of me is that we have wolves. WOLVES FOR GOD'S SAKE! NCWR promised me we don't, but I would rather believe my eyes. Maybe that will take care of the pigs if they do make it this far north.

Used to have to drive an hour or two to hunt geese, deer, and turkey, not to mention there were no bears. Now we're up to our armpits in deer and geese, turkey have come back, (all within a 15 minute drive of me) and they bear hunt in the Maryland pan handle.
