I just put a small Lyman globe front sight on a Marlin 1895 CB. It came with several inserts. Small bead, skinny post, wide post, and several size circles. Can anybody kinda give me a rundown on the're different purpose. It's got a Williams F.P. on the rear. I usually shoot at black bullseye targets, so I was thinking of one of the posts with a 6 o'clock hold. Those circles are what I question most.

Unless you are 18 years old, a post as big across as your bullseye black is most easily used at 6:00 O-clock. Bead is to center/cover the bull and the circles are to "halo" the bull with enough light to allow your radius of movement to affect a steady trigger pull without constant correction.
