I ended up buying a Gen 4, G-19 a week back after some extensive side by side.

I just took it out and put 300 rounds through her as a break-in.

GRIP AREA:
The grip is slightly smaller in circumference than the Gen 2 and 3s.
I tried the two plastic back-straps with and without the beaver-tails.
I found that the beaver-tail was a good idea since I have large hands, but the
extra grip length from front to back impaired accurate shooting. It felt like the back-straps were flexing or moving while firing. I think they should simply extend the beaver-tail area when they mold the lower frame.

MAGS:
At first I was worried that they had made the new style mag release too large. I was worried about accidental disengaging the magazine while firing. But so far no troubles. The idea of being able to move it to either right or left thumb release was a good marketing move.
Other than the locking notch now being on both sides, the magazines appear to be about the same as all the other Glock mags I have owned. These new mags ( 3 came with the pistol) are probably the tightest Glock Mags I have owned.

Recoil Spring;
The double recoil spring and guide have been the subject of some complaints but I did not experience any troubles after a light cleaning and a light lube.

TRIGGER:
I have also read about some hard triggers on the new Gen 4s, but this trigger was about the same as the other 4 or 5 Glocks I have owned.

Accuracy:
As mentioned above, I have owned a few Glocks and still have a G-20. So I expected a certain degree of accuracy.
In that I was sorely disappointed.
I cleaned and lightly lubed the rails with Tetra lube and fired 300 total rounds pretty much evenly divided between 115 grain Magtech, 115 grain PMC and 115 grain Federal Blazer Brass. ( YES I KNOW NOT TO EXPECT MUCH FROM BARGAIN AMMO)
At 25 yards, from a wedge of sandbags, I was averaging a 7 inch group between all three brands. Standing modified Weaver stance was about the same. WHAT THE HECK....???
So just to make sure I was not loosing my eye-sight I shot my 10mm G-20 at the same range. ( 3 inch groups with full house loads.) I also shot my wife's Kahr CM-9 belly-gun with the same 9mm ammo and had 4 inch groups at 25 yards. Then I tried my 44 Special snub nose at 15 yards and shot a clover-leaf group. So it is not me..

The next move will be to try heavier weight bullets to see if this Glock likes those better for some reason. It also shoots a few inches to the left even at 15 yards.

I should note that there were ZERO malfunctions for all 300 rounds. Extraction was very positive and all the brass pretty much ended up in a nice pile at the 4 o'clock position.

Well I found some 124 and 147 grain factory loads and tried those.

The 124s shot groups half the size of the 115s and the 147s shot groups that were 1/4 the size.
SO... for some reason this gun likes the longer bullets. Must be something about more bearing surface.
Now I just need to clean up the trigger a wee bit.

Interesting. Glad you got it dialed in.

My Gen 4 G19 seems to shoot a hair better with heavier ammo, but still decent with 115's.

I need to do a little trigger work. It had a hard spot half way through the pull. I tried ordering a minus trigger bar via amazon but they will not ship it to Alaska because the morons that work there think we are not part of the USA.

Float Pilot - I feel your pain. I've run into the same problem with RUBBER training knives. Amazon is staffed by morons and doesn't even have the flexibility to allow your issue to be kicked up to an actual thinking, decision-making human being.

Wasn't Alaska our famous 57th state? That might be the problem.

Well it seems to like the 147gr Fed Hydra shoks. Even with a horrible trigger.
