New Glock owner: question

I believe I'll take the advise on a few of the posts and leave it as is for another 300 rounds or so. I've just finished the order form for an Acker leather holster with adjustment screw for the 23 that I hope will be safe and reliable. I do hate ordering anything without trying it first but I'm sure I'll like it. As for changing the mags, I do practice that but probably not enough. I'd be more likely to just drop the gun as I'm pulling another one. Highly unlikely I would need it anyway, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared.

Much like the post above your last one, I went with a lighter connector and the NY-1 in my last 19. I prefer the feel and takeup on the NY-1; the lighter connector was just to bring the weight back down a bit. If they made an NY-3 that was, say, 6lbs with the stock connector, I'd have that.

From reading people who have measured them most standard Glocks run around 5lbs. +/- on stock pull weight. The GEN 4's about a pound more. Putting in just a good 3.5lb. connector drops it down to around 4lbs. But the new connectors often make the trigger much smoother also making the trigger pull fel even lighter. I've put 3.5lb. connectors in all my guns and done a light polishing of the trigger internals. Makes for a much nicer trigger. I myself wouldn't go to a lighter striker spring even though some use them for competition and carry. Could get light primer strikes. Not worth it to me.
