New Glock slide starting to rust...

Wait, I thought Tennefir was impervious to everything, including nuclear annihilation? :) An ex boss was like that, such corrosive sweat that he destroyed the Wonder Finish on a Witness in a day. Good luck, and keep it clean and oiled.
I've seen Glock's rust, it's rare but it can happen, however this one doesn't appear to me ro be rusting, rather thats the residual copper lube that Glock lathers onto the internals working it's way around....

Speaking of Glock finishes varying from gun to gun. here is a good example.

My cousin's G20 on the left, and my G20SF on the right. Both guns were new this spring. Both are Gen 3 (I guess, although some folks might argue that the SF model is kind of a Gen 3.5)

Yours is defective. Sorry. :uhoh:

I would give it a through cleaning and give it a light coat of Brichwood Casey Barricade rust preventive. If the problem persists I would return it to Glock. It is possible to mess up the tennifer application process and result in a finish that is even worse. S&W had a run of M&PS with just that problem. The salts weren't properly deactivated/removed and the pistols sometimes rusted before they even got to the dealer and that was on a STAINLESS slide. You can imagine it would be hard on carbon steel.
