Picked up an Ruger GP100 a week ago at my local ACE Hardware. It's stainless steel with a 4" barrel, and paid $440 for it NIB. It has a very nice double-action trigger and a hair single-action trigger. Plus, it's pretty darn accurate at 20 yards I could keep in under 2" at times off hand. The main thing I like most about it is that it feels like a tank! You can't break one of these things, I feel confident in putting just about any type of .357 in there with no worry. I am a proud owner of my first DA .357!

Yup,

If you shoot that GP100 a LOT with full power loads...the trigger will get even smoother. :D

Yep. I've had one since they first came out up here. Did the trigger exactly the same way you do a .45. Mind you, there was no Wolff Springs then. The innards are SS so polishing them is easy.

Congratulations on your GP100. I have a 6 inch and a 4 inch both are real nice. I put fiber optic front sights on both (you can see the front sight better). Whatever you do don't sell your GP100. If I only had one revolver it would be a GP100.

Congradulations! Those GP100's are definitely great revolvers. Built damn tough.

Jus' curious though, you bought a handgun at a HARDWARE store? Which state is this in. So unheard of in California!

They have the option, although not many do.

I used to buy ammo at my local Ace's and also bought a Pearson bow from the same store.

one of our most complete gunshops is in an Ace Hardware. The guy who manages it is a good sporting goods retailer. Keeps a good stock and is enjoying a lot of success with this business as it is located where all the McLennan County Texas rich people stays.
