A couple weeks ago I ordered a couple sets of revolver grips off ebay from Thailand. They are both well made and fit great. The set on my 686 was $30.99 and the ones on the Highway Patrolman were $21.65 delivered so I didn't break the bank either

I am always tempted to get a set or two myself from those Thailand sellers. You cannot beat the price and selections but I am paranoid about my financial accounts getting hacked for some reason. I look at the feedback and they seem to be generally good sellers and no real complaints on rip offs or cons.

Your revolvers and new grips look great.

I got the ones on the 686 from seller Jaruwan P. He has a very good reputation and has been selling grips for a few years. I wouldn't normally buy from overseas on eBay but this guy was mentioned on a few other gun forums. The fit and finish is about perfect.

There was a guy from Viet Nam here a few years back looking for information on 1911 grips and those who helped him got free grips. He made great grips out if exotic materials and I've heard the makers in Thailand do too. This e are very nice grips, especially the ones on the M686. I would not mind having a set. I'm going to have to look up this Jaruwan P, thanks for the tip.

Both look great; like the grain pattern and finger groove design of the pair on your Model 686.

I need to do some eBay research. I'm really partial to Nill grips because they make L frame grips with a closed blackstrap. They fit me perfectly and I love the stippling, but they are pricey. There may be cheaper options out there.

great deals! congrats
I'm kind of leery of E-Bay in general and pay-pal in particular. :scrutiny:
My account got hacked once. I really wasn't out anything, other than some aggravation. Trying to get a person to talk with in pay-pal cyber Hades is really special.
You pays your money and takes your chances.

Looking thru his offerings in square butt K frames, it appears some are better than others.
It appears you looked good and hard at his images and choices and picked the best of the litter for both the pair you bought.
I like to save my original grips for some reason in new condition and replace them with aftermarket grips that are both fitting and attractive for my firearms.
There's a set ot two he has that I am tempted to get ( not as nice as yours ) and then I am also wanting a set of Sarco Jay Scott imitation stag or maybe a pair of Altamonts. Just got a like new model 13-2 and I'm going to change out those minty S&W grips and put them in the orig box for later.
I like to make my revolvers a bit more unique with grips that are different than the next guys.

I bought one set of Thai grips for my Taurus 689 and one for my Ruger Sp101. The Taurus ones were a perfect fit. The Ruger ones needed about 30 seconds with a dremel to fit just right. I like both sets very much. I have extremely large hands, and these big square-butt grips give me something to hang onto.

Here is the Sp101 (327 magnum). It fits my hands SO MUCH better now. The factory grips were way too small for me.

Here is the Taurus. Rosewood grips are a personal favorite of mine.

You don't need an account to pay through Pay Pal. You can use a charge card and there is no chance iwf your account being hacked because there is no account.

I almost bit on a set from Thailand but I went and ordered a set of fake stag Jay Scott grips from Sarco.
These will go on my S&W 13-2. I'll just have to get another revolver if I'm gonna get grips like yours Jonsey!

They look pretty good. I like how they feel for me.
I already have a pair I had to modify and fit to my Taurus 44 spl.
