Just took delivery of my new CZ 75B
plain blue (black) finish. I had the gun dealer/smith
clean it before he delivered it.

Came with two mags, two snap caps and replacement
primer and mag loader.with manual. I'll read the manual
today. Heading to the range tomorrow A.M. -

Good trigger - I have long hands/fingers Dry fire away
the day in anticipation. Thumb Safety is a solid click 'Off,'
but stiff to click 'On.' I cleaned both mags, they had some
residual packing goo.

Definitely want the factory slim Coco Bolo grips.

Cz 75b

Own three CZs, love 'em all!.. My 75B-SS has been TOTALLY FLAWLESS!... About 1500+rnds, not ONE FTF, jam-up,etc... Very accurate, super-easy clean-up, looks great!... Bought SP-01 Tactical (9mm), phenominal gun!... Major problem with CZs: You get hooked on 'em real quick and start building a collection!! ENJOY!

Range Report

100 rds - WW WB 115 FMJ
50 rds - CCI Blazer Brasse case 115 fmj
10 rds - CCI Speer 124 gr. Gold Dot JHP +P

No FTF or FTE - all steel soaks up recoil - SIghts are
right on at 15 yards NIce trigger DA & even with a little
take up SA is crisp

Grips - I have smooth Rosewood HOgue on my 1911 and I
think I'd also like smooth for the CZ 75B - I have long fingers
but not meaty hands - I'm tall and slim. I do like the checkered
Hogue pattern where they leave it un-checkered near the thumb
safety. I guess my only issue with the gun is the thumb safety
it clicks sure and positive from 'On' to "off' but the 'Off' to 'On' is
a bit stiff and I have to rotate the gun 90 degrees to get leverage
to put the safety 'On' Not a big issue with the first shot DA though.

so, bottom line, Dead nuts reliable, accurate - my shooting buddy did
one clip of 15 ( that 16thg round is too much bother imo ) and put half
the rounds in the X-ring at 15 yards. He has a Glock 19 and liked the
CZ 75B trigger DA/SA. FWIW

After the range session we stopped by a nearby gun shop and I got a cheapo
box of PMC 115 gr. FMJ for next saturday as well as a spendy box of Winchester Supreme SXT 147 gr. JHPs (@ 990 FPS ) - I want to shoot those
for comparison as I have a source for a hotter 147 gr. Hornady XTP JHP @ 1090 FPS for less than half the cost but both are sub-sonic.

Tonight the CZ 75B will take the place of the S&W Model 60 3" Bbl. .357 Mag loaded with 125 gr. SPeer Gold Dot. JHPs in the bedside drawer.

I now see why they can be addictive.

I never understood how good an all-steel frame could be until I shot a cz-75b.

its worth the extra cleaning time. The differences are really surprising comapred to alloy frames like the sig 226 or beretta 92 IMO.

Yeah, my shooting buddy Ralph remarked about the recoil management with the extra heft of the steel frame.

Funny, I thought the papers in the top lid would have included a small owners manual but it's two pieces of paper in Czech language/print. One is
what / inspected by / and when manufactured Jan. 31 2008 and the other is a Guarantee certif.

I am thinking make up a short list of things to order from CZUSA.
* Three mags - load them before the range session
* spare firing pin and spring just to have
* and the mag. catch part that allows the mag to fall further out of
the gun, one of the models have this for competition

ANy other items/parts to get for the CZ 75 'KIt" ?

JD - what grips are the thinnest?

The CZ aluminum are to my knowledge, the thinnest, but pricy. I removed the finger grooves of my Hogues, and blended the front edge:)

Hogue finger grip 1.247
CZ Thin Cocobolo 1.365
CZ Factory Rubber 1.400

Grips measured at mounting screws
