Hello. I am a recently certified gunsmith from Phoenix, Arizona
I have a lot of experience with guns and working on them, but little in the way of actual smithing. I would like to get a job apprenticing. If you have a company or know of one that is hiring, I would like to apply. I don't mind commuting a ways, I'd like to stay in my area if possible. At this juncture, I would value the experience far more than the money, and would do the absolute best job I know how.
I come from an engineering student background, and have designed multiple gun parts and modifications. I have even managed to fabricate a safety lever for the FNX pistol. I had a lot more parts and upgrades planned.
I'm very mechanically inclined, understand chemistry well enough for gunsmithing, and am familiar with metallurgy, have experience in reloading, refinishing, wood work, etc.
I have done trigger jobs and repairs on multiple firearms.
I have installed sights, barrels, fit parts, polished surfaces, etc.
I am also very well adept in the firearm safety and shooting technique training skills.
Please let me know if you think of anything.
-Mike
