Hello,

Just saying Hi. I've been lurking on the board for a bit and finally decided to register. I am just getting back into shooting. Let's see... I live in Minnesota, shot Expert in the Army but stopped for college. I recently got my first handgun (a Sig 229 in .40S&W) to get a little practice in before a LE program this fall.

Beer and ammo for everyone!

Cool username, GGB! Welcome to THR!:) I take mine (Beer and Ammo) Root, and 7.62x54R, respectively!:p Where 'bouts are ya in the Goofer, er Gopher state? I grew up in the Cities, and hey, was Army, too!

Thanks for the warm welcome! (although maybe beer and ammo helps)

I'm glad people like my name. It's from something a friend of mine mentioned in college. My BS is in Natural Resources and for one class we had to do an orienteering course. I'm pretty good at map and compass work so my group finished first, easily. That, plus being the only veteran in my class, inspired my friend to say "You're like a gorp and granola Green Beret!" Gorp Green Beret didn't sound quite as good...

I was a 13B (Cannon Crewmember) in the Army but did a lot of time as advanced party and other stuff.

I'm live in the Twin Cities right now.
