Hello everyone, Just wanted to say hi as I just registered. Been shooting off and on since I was a kid in the scouts (Do they still have ranges at camp?) Did a stint in the Army National Gaurd but mostly just target shooting in the woods.

I recently moved to Kansas from California where it's a little more effort to shoot around here. I was used to just going into the Nat. Forest where we had some good sites set up but out here it's strictly range shooting now.

I own three weapons, my trusty 10/22, a Beretta .40, and an AR15. Well just wanted to say hi, have lurked here for a while and enjoy the posts.

Welcome and have a Blast, put your feet up(shoes at the door please) and share, no BS and the new guy gets the ammo and drinks for the rest. I would like a nice strong Ginger beer and a big box of 357.
 
Welcome, I have never run across anyone in the states who liked Ginger beer. I discovered it in OZ and love the stuff.

Welcome to the fold. It sounds like you have a very practical collection. Have you considered a shotgun? I bet Kansas can offer some decent wing shooting.
 
I've been thinking about a shot gun, want to try my hand at turkey hunting. There are a couple things I'd like to get for they AR first.
 
Welcome, Mountaineer. You are now amongst the best group of people you can find, and they all have your safety, security, and freedom at heart. However, you will find if you ask a question about which gun(s) is the best that you will get as many answers as there are members to this Web site. It will all be extremely good advice, but ultimately the decision will be yours. When you do make your decision, you will at least know what you are looking for because of your participation here.

Hey Mountaineer. Welcome to THR. Where about's in Kansas are you? I'm in Arkansas City. It's about 60 miles south of Wichita.
 
Mountaineer, welcome to this mad place full of wonderful people with good knowledge.

Keep your salt grains handy, ask lots of questions, stay out of L&P (there be dragons), and have a good time.
