Canik TP9SFx.
Very accurate. Ambidextrous. 20 round mags. You can get it with a Vortex Red Dot and all the needed hardware in the box.
That is in fact the reason for me posting it.All manuals are full of CYA statements, that's nothing new. But the point of the story was that FN allegedly used the referenced clause in order to deny the warranty work.
I find that stance from FN very disturbing and it makes me Leary about owning an FN pistol in the future. I also had one in the past and it did not function properly. That is in fact the reason for me posting it.
I don't know if there is anything wrong with the FNS or any of the FN pistols, they all may be perfectly fine firearms. However, my guess is practically nobody has their handgun inspected by a gunsmith or the factory every 2,000 rounds, and practically nobody would think to do it without having read a warning buried deep on page #38 of the owners manual, that most folks won't even open let alone read thoroughly. The point is, if you don't do that, FN is not willing support a claim for warrantee work. Forewarned is forearmed.
Personally I don't care what guns people like or buy or shoot or anything but I find the comment that FNs can (to paraphrase) run circles around Sigs and Glocks... humorous. Too many variables at a $500-600 price point in addition to human ability and effort. I will say this, go to a bunch of formal or informal IDPA or action style matches (if that is part of the goal) and count the # of FNs being used.

Dunno, I like the trigger on my XDm. I do not compete with it, however. Maybe it unravels on timer. But it's fine for slow fire on paper targets. The negative with the XDm is the factory trigger is a horror.
